89 On the path to the undifferentiated state of enlightenment, it is maturity, sagacity and depth of understanding we seek in art; what is apparent on its surface is just the welcome mat at the door to enlightened perception. Once we recognise this highest role, we can begin to unite with the inner languages of art, and they become infinitely more efficient. We can stop scratching the surface of art and begin to delve into its profundity. We will begin to see that there are no rules that govern mature art, only those that arise out of it.
